Well, this was an interesting choice for us. And it was one that we did not really enjoy largely due to the main character being how they were. The artwork was good but that honestly was about it for us. The story was lacking, the character development was not there and everything about it had us questioning the actions and reasoning behind the characters and the story for them did not make us like any of the characters in honesty. But that is just us to reach out and let us know what you thought of the movie.     Want to buy what we talked about or some other nifty anime swag use our Affiliate Link   Mirai Blu-ray/DVD http://shrsl.com/3kczm       Next week's choice is the Arifureta season 2.     We get emotionally damaged in this week's choice with a great story that hit on so many aspects. We lightly touch on some of our own experiences, but we can help but get a little deep with the story. It largely picks up where it left off and the story gives it a nice solid conclusion. It is a movie that is truly worth the watch and if you have not seen the series you need to watch that first especially since it plays off of a couple of episodes for it.   Also starting with this we cut out the sales pitches for you all! This week's choice was an interesting one. The story was largely really good. It left them with some questions but overall it was not bad and decent. The music was great and was not out of place when it was playing and the artwork was pretty solid in general for it. It does a good job of only really giving you the information that you need and leading the story in a decent direction. It is worth the watch.     Want to buy what we talked about or some other nifty anime swag use our Affiliate Link   Wolf Children Blu-ray/DVD http://shrsl.com/3k31s   Next week's choice is the Violet Evergarden Movie. This week was certainly an interesting one. And it was not one that we really enjoyed. The story was lacking substance. The animation style also gave it an older feel than what it actually has which for us at the time of recording was only 10 years old. Which does not boast well for the show's long run. The plot, or lack thereof, really does it no justice as well and we honestly just are left with more questions and bewilderment than anything else. Our only hope is that there is a season 2 but that is not likely.   Want to buy what we talked about or some other nifty anime swag use our Affiliate Link   Code:Breakers Blu-ray/DVD   Next week's choice is Wolf Children. We do a lot of exploring and trying to understand what is going on in this show. It is technically 1 season with an OVA but it all came out as a normal 1 season. We also try to understand what is happening in this show and how to decode what is happening in genal. But all in all, it was a decent show even though Jack and Rick were split on their scores. With it following 3 main characters for the first half of the series and then killing 1 off halfway through it kinda leaves you with an empty feeling. Regardless though it is one that you might enjoy and should watch when you have nothing else to watch.   Want to buy what we talked about or some other anime swag use our Affiliate Link   Corpse Princess Blu-ray/DVD   Next week's choice is Code Breakers. This week we talk about a short film called The Garden of Words, even though there were not very many words spoken in that garden the movie was still a pleasure to look at even if the story was lacking. But in terms of scoring Jack and Rick are split on this a little more than usually. Jack was not impressed with the story and did not have a need to drive to want to watch it again. Rick on the other hand enjoyed it more and would not mind seeing it again. What they do agree on is that you will enjoy the art for it.   Producers: The Answer Studio, TOHO animation Studio: CoMix Wave Films Aired: May 2013 Genres: Drama, Romance, Slice of Life Source: Original Run Time: 46 min.   Jack's score: 5 / 10 Rick's score: 7 / 10

This week we were cringing pretty hard at this one. The main character was one that we both could not like and did not create an enjoyable watching experience for us. With all his faults though there were a couple of redeeming qualities, but those were far and few in-between. One thing we could not figure out is why everyone started to fall for him when he was one of the most annoying characters that we have had to deal with.   Producers: Mainichi Broadcasting System, Kodansha, DMM pictures, DMM Music Studio: TMS Entertainment Aired: July 2020 - September 2020 Genres: Comedy, Romance, School, Shounen Source: Manga Number Of Episodes: 12   Jack's score: 4 / 10 Rick's score: 3 / 10   Next week's choice is The Garden of Words. What is true strength? And what is it that you truly need to attain it? This story touches on that and with the visuals, great storytelling, and visuals you are led through on a child's journey through life as they try to figure it out. They travel to a parallel world and are trained in how to fight and hone their body and mind. But they later try to strengthen their mind back in their world. The story of growth is a delight to watch and it is well worth the watch.   Producers: Dentsu, Yomiuri Telecasting, Kadokawa Shoten, Toho, Nippon Television Network, Arquebuse Studio: Studio Chizu Aired: July 2015 Genres: Adventure, Supernatural, Fantasy, Isekai Source: Original Run Time: 1 hr. 59 min.   Jack's score: 9 / 10 Rick's score: 9 / 10

This week we go Viking and travel with pirates and we really dive deep into the meaning and actions of 1 character that dies early in the show. Thors we take 1 scene and go deep into discussion and try to share our viewpoints on that that where we think we are right and the other is wrong. But regardless this show is great and worth the watch and time to put into it. If there is anything that we agree on it is that this was a good show and that we are happy that there is a season 2 coming out.   Producers: Production I.G, Dentsu, Kodansha, Twin Engine Studio: Wit Studio Aired: July 2019 - December 2019 Genres: Action, Adventure, Drama, Historical, Seinen Source: Manga Number Of Episodes: 24   Jack's score: 7 / 10 Rick's score: 8 / 10   Next week's choice is The Boy And The Beast. This week was a great choice! it was recommended to us by CJ in our discord and it was certainly well worth the watch. It is a continuation of the series and unless you have seen the series I would honestly not recommend watching it till you have had the chance to watch it otherwise it will not make sense and there will be a lot lost in context. And because of that, it makes the movie better than it plays off of the series and is a direct continuation. There isn't any time lost really from the series to the movie and for any time that did pass you are able to easily figure out what is happening because it plays so close to the series. We both recommend that you watch it with the series at the same time.   Producers: Aniplex, Tokyo MX, Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures, Nagoya Broadcasting Network, BS11, ABC Animation, Kadokawa Studio: CloverWorks Aired: June 2019 Genres: Drama, Romance, Supernatural Source: Light Novel Run Time: 1 hr. 30 min.   Jack's score: 9 / 10 Rick's score: 8 / 10
